General wildlife in distress
- HART Wildlife
HART Wildlife Rescue is a registered charity whose main aim is to relieve the suffering caused to wildlife and to provide a rescue, treatment and rehabilitation service. Their new wildlife hospital at Soldridge Business Park, Medstead, near Alton, opened for business in July 2010. Their old premises at Overton is now permanently closed. They offer a limited rescue service – instead trying to encourage people to bring animals to the hospital, although they do have a small number of drivers to call on if the need arises. If you find an injured, sick or abandoned creature please telephone them on 01420 562335. Please note this line is not manned 24 hours and an answering machine is often used while staff and volunteers are caring for wildlife.
