Waterway walk
In November we decided that we’d try a Friday afternoon walk for a change and were delighted that 18 of you turned up on Friday 21st.
The weather was kind with the sun shining when we met at Carrington Recreation Ground not far from North Camp Station.
After the normal formalities Adrian our walk leader led us from the recreation ground over to the Basingstoke Canal, which we followed heading south all the way to the aqueduct crossing the A331. After looking at the bat cave on Gold Lakes we picked up the Blackwater Valley Path at Lakeside Nature Reserve then headed north through Lakeside, Hollybush Park and Hollybush Pits before returning to our starting point just as it started to rain.
