Walking in the Blackwater Valley
Blackwater Valley Path
This is a 23-mile long-distance path following the River Blackwater from its source in Rowhill Nature Reserve to Swallowfield and the confluence with the rivers Whitewater and Loddon.
A guide booklet called Blackwater Valley Path contains a detailed route description and clear maps to help you find your way, together with useful information about some of the things you will see en route.
We also produce a book of circular walk called Blackwater Valley Circular Walks, containing 12 walks of varying length each with detailed route descriptions and clear easy-to-follow maps plus plenty of useful heritage and wildlife information.
