Walking in north-east Hampshire If you would like to discover some of the countryside found in north-east Hampshire along its border with Berkshire, why not join a countryside walk organised by the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership on Thursday 28th June.

The route, which will cover about  seven miles, takes you through the countryside found around the lower reaches of the River Blackwater. Starting from Arborfield the walk passes through open farmland and the woods at Farley Hill, offering some spectacular views of Arborfield Court. Going at a steady pace it should last around three hours and will provide a wonderful opportunity to see some of the rural fringes found in the north-west part of the Blackwater Valley.

Please note that although the route is mostly flat, it may be muddy and uneven in places so please wear suitable clothing and footwear. Under 16s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult. If you would like to come along, meet for a 10am start on Thursday 28th June at the car park near The Bull pub in Arborfield. Grid ref: SU 759 669.
