Announcing the launch of

The Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust

Come along to a special evening all about the Blackwater Valley its wildlife and habitats, on Wednesday 20th September at Sandhurst Memorial Hall.

The evening called The Blackwater Valley - your Wildlife Oasis, is the first official event organised by the newly formed Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust and will feature a number of short illustrated talks by local experts on:

      • The Landscape of the Blackwater Valley
      • Plants of the Blackwater Valley
      • Birdlife of the Blackwater Valley
      • Dragonflies of the Blackwater Valley
      • Mammals (including bats) of the Blackwater Valley

The evening starts at 7.30pm, entrance is free and free refreshments will be provided.

The Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust has been established by a group of people who want to help improve and enhance the natural environment of the Blackwater Valley. It is a registered charity which promotes the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment of the Blackwater Valley with aims to:

  • Look after and improve the Valley’s greenspace and wildlife.
  • Encourage more volunteers to get involved with all aspects of the Valley’s management
  • Promote public access to the countryside
  • Teach the value of conservation to people of all ages.

Anyone who shares these aims and might be interested in becoming a Trust member is invited to come along for what promises to be an entertaining and informative evening.
