Walking at Your Leisure
What can be more inviting than a pleasant walk in the fresh air on a sunny summer morning. If this appeals to you then sign up for a guided walk at your leisure on Friday 20th August with the Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust.
Starting at Frimley Lodge Park the five-mile walk will go along the Basingstoke Canal towpath before exploring some of the countryside found to the south of the Canal Centre around Keogh Barracks and back over Tunnel Hill. The pace will be leisurely, the atmosphere friendly and the scenery interesting. Please note that suitable footwear and clothing may be required if the weather is wet.
Anyone interested in joining this walk should phone 01252 331353 to register their interest. There is no fee but donations to the Trust are always welcome. Meet for a 10am start at Frimley Lodge car park, Sturt Road, Frimley. Grid ref: SU 887 562.
The Blackwater Valley Countryside Trust is a charity registered in 2005. It works closely with the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership to promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment of the Blackwater Valley. If you would like to contribute towards the countryside on your doorstep and support the work of the Trust please visit www.bvct.org.uk or ring 01252 331353.
