As Countryside & Access Officer I am working to improve the countryside of the Blackwater Valley both for people and for wildlife.
The BVCP manage countryside sites across the valley, with the help of our dedicated team from the Blackwater Valley Conservation Volunteers who work with us every Tuesday. We also work with local authorities, land owners, businesses and other volunteer conservation groups to give advice and assistance wherever possible.
Our aim is to strike a balance between the needs of local people and of wildlife. Wherever possible we work to improve access to countryside sites and in particular I am responsible for managing the Blackwater Valley Path, making sure that it is well maintained and improved wherever possible.
