Blackwater Valley Strategy 2006-2010
During 2005 the staff at Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership spent a lot of time working on The Blackwater Valley Strategy 2006 – 2010, the latest in a series of strategy and planning documents aimed at developing and improving the Blackwater Valley.
The whole process involved much discussion about the direction the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership will take, not just in the next five years but the next 20. We looked at all areas of our existing work and identified our priorities for the future, as well as examining potential new areas of development that fulfill our vision for the future which is:
“A continuous green space along the Blackwater Valley;
attractive to wildlife and the community.”
The Strategy went out to consultation, because we needed to find out what the communities living and working in the Valley thought of our plans and whether they shared our aims for the future. After many months of work we are delighted to announce that the Strategy – which runs to almost 100 pages, including 15 maps - is now complete.
