Friday 27th

2 adult Yellow-legged Gulls.
80+ Lesser Black-backed Gulls.
1 Common Gull. 5 Green Sandpipers. 1 Greenshank.  2 Shovelers.
4 Gadwalls. 363 Canada Geese!
9+ Little Grebes. 1 Wheatear.
1 Hobby.

Wednesday 25th

6 Greenshank (1 south and 5 north west). 1 Redshank. 3 Ringed Plover. 5 Green Sandpiper (at least). 2 Common Sandpiper (at least). 24 Lapwing. 3 adult Yellow-legged Gulls . 60+Lesser Black-backed Gulls. 2 Shoveler. 3 Teal.

Saturday 21st

Crayfish about 6-7 inches long. The body was brown with two large orangish/reddish claws.  was about three metres away from the river.

Slow Worm (our first for ages)

Saturday 7th

Curlew Sandpiper (juv) until 11:10 only, 2 Arctic Terns. 2 adult Yellow-legged Gulls.

5 Yellow-legged Gulls (4 adults & 1st/w)

6 Little Egrets. Greenshank. 7 Green Sandpipers

Tuesday 3rd

Seed pods observed: Himalayan Balsam, Rose Bay Willow Herb & Yellow Flag Irises
Butterflies: 5 Speckled Woods & unidentified whites along BV path. Bulrushes on the canal. Dogwood berries on BV Path and Yellow Cinquefoil on canal.

All seen on morning Step Into Nature walk from North Town, Aldershot  Ash Lock via Eastern Road, Blackwater Valley & canal. Location map Location map
