Seen 09:20 at Ash junction of Blackwater Valley Road (A331 with A323).
Seen at North Camp Station Both sighting via Surrey Bird Club.

Seen late morning at the Old Ford Pub, North Camp by Chris & Angela Kay along with 15+ twitchers. Location map Location map

Saturday 15th

70+ Waxwings.
Adult Yellow-legged Gull.

 

Seen at North Camp Station.
Seen at Tice’s Meadow (Farnham Quarry).
Both sighting via Surrey Bird Club.

Pair Red-crested Pochard on southern side lake.


2 Goosander (redheads) on the south-east edges of the lake with 2 male Goldeneye
1 Barnacale Goose and 26 Greylag Geese in north-west corner of Colebrook Lake.23 Egyptian Geese about Tern Island further 11 Greylag Geese west and 23 Canada Geese about the lake. 
Snipe close to hide at Colebrook Lake North. 101 Lapwing present on Tern Island.
50+ Lesser Redpoll. 1 Green Sandpiper on scrape in front of hide at Colebrook Lake North.

 

Seen 11:00 and again at 15:30 at Horseshoe Lake.

Seen at North Camp Station , Farnborough. Sighting via Surrey Bird Club.

50+ Waxwings

Seen early afternoon at Old Ford Pub, North Camp by Chris & Angela Kay along with 5+ twitchers from Southern England who had travelled especially to see them. Location maLocation map

Friday 14th

700+ Waxwing counted from photo. I was present from 7:45 and birds arrived in small groups up until 08:15. Using trees around the station.

Thursday 13th

160+ Waxwings .
3 Waxwings & 2 Brambling

Seen by North Camp Station.
Seen in private garden in Heath End, Farnham.
Both sightings via Surrey Bird Club.

Wednesday 12th

275 (at least) Waxwing :Only 50 remained 30 minutes later.

Seen 12:45 at North Camp, Farnborough around station. Sighting via Hampshire Bird Club.

Red Kite flew north

Seen at Ash Vale. Sighting via Surrey Bird Club.
 

Tuesday 11th

250 Waxwing. Awesome coalescence of Blackwater Valley flocks at a spot where there is much cotoneaster. Highly mobile flew south at 13:20.

53 Waxwings.

1 Little Owl.

Sunday 9th

12 Waxwings briefly & 8 Golden Plover.

Sunday 9th

1 Barn Owl quartering in rough grassland of new workings, made various kills.
1 male Goldeneye. 1 Smew (red head) 4 Goosander (2m,2f)

Saturday 8th

3 Goldeneye (2m 1f) at the southern side of Colebrook Lake North dropping in at 16:20 and then remaining to at least 17:00.
16 Goosander, 5 south-east over Colebrook Lake North with a further 11 at Colebrook Lake Souuth.
15 Egyptian Goose, 1 very vocal bird present on Tern Island on arrival, joined by a further 14 prior to 17:00. 16 Barnacle Geese dropping in to the north-western corner of Colebrook Lake North and then staying to dark; also one hybrid with this group.
1 Barnacle Goose present on arrival, with 9 Greylag Goose, in the north-western corner of Colebrook Lake North moving off towards the new workings prior to dark.
1 Little Owl seen flying across the paddock south of the car park towards the new workings.

Saturday 8th

1 Chiffchaff heard vocalising on the southern boundary of the site. Also  Meadow Pipit, further south, three Goldcrest - one in song - a very mobile Grey Wagtail, a minimum of 27 Carrion Crow and two Fox showing for some time in the late afternoon.

Seen at 15:00 all together in a horse field just off Hawley Lane in Farnborough

Seen at 14:30 on Rowan at junction of Hope Street and Albert Street in Fleet.

250 Grey Wagtail put up with together with 10+ Meadow Pipit.
1 Siberian Chiffchaff

2 Goldeneye, 5 Goosander (3m +2f) all at Colebrook Lake North.
18 Cormorant on Tern Island.
161 Lapwing on Plover Island.
1 Tawny Owl. 18 Common Gull.

18 Goosander (9m + 9f) on Colebrook Lake north and south. Little Egret near hide at Colebrook Lake North. 1 Barnacle Goose flew in with 47 Greylag Geese. 57 Cormorant on Tern Island.

2 Red-crested Pochard (male + female) seen on southern part of Colebrook Lake mutual feeding which indicates a strong pairing. 

Barn Owl patrolling sough pastures south of Lower Sandhurst Road.

Monday 3rd

Great Grey Shrike 

Seen along main track to Crown Prince Wood, Ash Ranges: Sighting via Surrey Bird Club.
 

Sunday 2nd

63 Goosander (17 males); 58 seen on Grove Lake.
14 Barnacle Goose plus usual two hybrids in field by Grove Lake.
5 Yellow-legged Gull at roost on Colebrook Lake north with 165 Black Headed Gulls, 140 Large Black-backed Gulls, 3 Common Gulls and 1 Herring Gull.
1 female Red-crested Pochard on Colebrook Lake South, male appears to have gone.

9 Shoveler (6 male, 3 female) feeding on Kings Mere. 1 Green Sandpiper on muddy margins of Kings Mere.
1 Woodcock, flushed by walkers next to Heath Pond.
