Sandhurst walk
A walk on the wild side of Sandhurst was the theme of our June walk held on Thursday 19th June which attracted 22 people. Although it was a stand alone event it was part of the week-long festiviaties taking place during Sandhurst Love Parks Week.
The weather was fine and walk leader Adrian took us through some interesting terrain. From Sandhurst Memorial Park we headed north to Snaprails Park stopping briefly to look at the wildlflower meadow. It was then on to Wildmoor Heath and the countryside beyond.
The route took us past Broadmoor Hospital - a surprisingly large building - before going back into to Wildmoor and returning down to Sandhurst.
We didn’t see much wildlife but the walk was most enjoyable.
