Design a Butterfly Competition Winner

During the month of August Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership and Fleet Tourist Information Centre ran a children’s’ competition to ‘Design a Butterfly’. This was done partly to promote a newly published book Blackwater Valley Butterflies written by local Fleet resident Peter Martin, partly as a holiday activity for children visiting the Fleet Tourist Information Centre. There were some excellent entries and the competition has now been judged. The winning entry is pictured right.

On Thursday 29th September the winner, nine-year-old Anastasia Watson, came to the centre to receive her prize of a ‘Bag of Butterfly Goodies’ from Margaret Birch, Fleet Tourist Information Centre Manager, and Christine Reeves, Visitor Promotions Officer for the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership.
