Volunteers at Moor Green Lakes with the new bench

A chance to sit, watch and listen

Visitors to Moor Green Lakes Nature Reserve in Finchampstead can now take a rest, admire the view and bird watch in comfort thanks to a new bench that has been installed close to a bird ‘feeding station’.

The bench was paid for by the Moor Green Lakes Group, local volunteers who look after the Reserve. Peter Scott the Chairman said:

Our members are very generous with their donations each year and we are very pleased to be able to use some of this to improve the site for visitors and help them to enjoy their visit to Moor Green even more.”

The bench was installed with help from the Blackwater Valley Countryside Volunteers (pictured above) who work on countryside sites throughout the Blackwater Valley.

Moor Green Lakes Nature Reserve is one of the premier bird sites in the Blackwater Valley area, and has the Blackwater Valley Path running alongside it. Anyone wishing to visit the reserve will find the car park situated off Lower Sandhurst Road between Sandhurst and Finchampstead.
