Wednesday 9th

15 Waxwings

Seen in Fermoy Drive approaching Willems Ave in Aldershot at about 14:15 by Hilary Godber.

Saturday 5th

We think we spotted a Goldcrest hopping around on a bush,  It was a very small brownish coloured, round bodied, mouse-like, bird, smaller than a sparrow or robin and was definitely not a wren as it did not have an upturned tail.
It’s very likely that you did see a Goldcrest, there are quite a few in the area you mentioned. Has anyone else seen them?

Seen on the other side of the River Blackwater, in Shepherd Meadow, just up from the Blackwater Park Bridge by Mr & Mrs Wolfe. Location map Location map

Friday 4th

Redwing. Not sure if this is of interest, but it has been some years since I have seen a Redwing.
We are always pleased to receive details of any sighting in the Valley.

Seen in St John’s Churchyard, Cove around 10:45 by Hilary Godber

Friday 4th

Male and female Goldeneye; a few Widgeon; a few Teal; 8 Shovellor;
12 Goosander (mixed gender).

All seen late morning at Moor Green Lakes by Chris and Angela Kay. Location map Location map

Thursday 3rd

Kingfisher

Seen mid afternoon by the The Old Ford, at North Camp station by Chris and Angela Kay. Location map Location map

Tuesday 1st

30-50 starling-sized birds with crest observed... disappeared as soon as the camera was ready. I’m presuming they were Waxwings.

Seen between 10:50-11:45 on the approach road to Tesco in Aldershot off the Willem’s roundabout by T.P. Moore.
