What’s in the Walkers’ Pack?

This contains four full colour books produced by the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership. There are two walking books and both have detailed, easy-to-follow route guides and clearly annotated maps:

  • Blackwater Valley Circular Walks, with details of 12 circular walks in the area of varying length, from three to seven miles. (Paperback, 56 pages in full colour.)
  • Blackwater Valley Path, giving details of the 23-mile path that runs the length of the River Blackwater. (Paperback, 28 pages in full colour.)

In addition you’ll receive two wildlife books that will act as useful reference guides to some of the local wildlife you may see whilst out walking:

  • Blackwater Valley Butterflies (Paperback, 52 pages in full colour).
  • Blackwater Valley Dragonflies (Paperback, 48 pages in full colour).

If you already have some or all of these books you can opt to join the Blackwater Valley Walkers’ Link for a reduced annual rate of £7.

Tell me more about the ‘Walk of the Month’

As well as regularly sending you details of led walks taking place in the area, we’ll also provide a special ‘Walk of the Month’ located somewhere within the Blackwater Valley. Not only will these walks provide you with details of somewhere new to walk, but we’ll try and make them seasonal so that you can explore and discover a different part of the area each month. The length of these walks will vary.
