Go Wild in September!

This special month-long promotion,
 co-ordinated by the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership and supported by
14 volunteer groups in the Valley, is the ideal way to learn about conservation work and to find out more about your local wildlife area and conservation group.
So why not come along to any of the events listed and “have a go” at some of the conservation tasks, or talk to the people there to find out what’s going on. By getting involved you can:

• Meet new people
• Get some exercise
• Help your local wildlife
• Learn about your local area

In fact you may enjoy it so much that you decide to become a regular countryside volunteer. We look forward to seeing you on site.

Events   Sunday 3rd Rowhill Copse Nature Reserve, Aldershot Join Rowhill Conservation Volunteers to help manage and improve the woodland, 10am to 4.30pm.  Meet at the Visitor Centre off Cranmore Lane at 10am. Call Sue on 01252 331353.            Sunday 3rd Frimley to Ash Cycle Ride Join the Farnborough Cyclists Touring Club, for a gentle paced ride, mostly off-road and suitable for beginners. The ride is about 9 miles and will last about 2 hours following the Blackwater Valley Path and Basingstoke Canal. Meet for a 10.30am start at North Camp Station. Any questions? Call Adrian on 07950 406499.    Tuesday 5th Blackwater Valley Path, Frimley The Blackwater Valley Countryside Volunteers will be cutting and clearing back the path beside the river to benefit wildflowers from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
