Rural Route From Finchampstead

Get away from the traffic and the hustle and bustle of urban life and discover one of the rural parts of the Blackwater Valley on a circular walk organised by the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership on Thursday 22nd April.

Starting from Finchampstead the walk will give participants a chance to enjoy the area’s peaceful countryside landscapes as they walk along the country lanes and footpaths, with an opportunity to see some the local wildlife. The route will go via St James church, Longmoor Lake and Fleet Copse to California Country Park, taking in many shady byways. Covering a distance of about six miles it will last about three hours.

Come along for a 10.30am start, meeting at Finchampstead Memorial Hall car park. The Village, Finchampstead, Wokingham RG40 4JU. Please park at the far end away from the village hall itself. The route could be muddy so please wear suitable footwear and clothing and bring along binoculars. For more details ring 01252 331353 or visit .
