WALK: A Date With Nature
Join the Wokingham and Bracknell branch of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds on a monthly walk around Dinton Pastures Country Park. Children under 18 must be accompanied. WALK: Silver-Studded Blue Butterfly 11am- 2pm
Join Ranger Leigh Neville to search for one of our rarest Butterflies, the Silver-Studded Blue. You will be taken into the world of this heathland butterfly and find out what is done to manage heaths for its survival. Meet at 11am in the lay-by opposite Arrow Lane on the B3011 heading north out of Hartley Wintney. Duration 3 hours. All abilities welcome. Bring appropriate footwear and clothing. EVENT: Guildford Festival Boat Gathering 12 noon
This year the NT River Wey Navigation celebrates the 20th anniversary of the Boat Gathering – fun and games by the river at Millmead Island in the heart of Guildford from 12 noon. The decorated boat pageant will take place at 4pm, this year’s theme is ‘Christmas Comes Early’. Children’s activities will be led by the Trust’s learning team and Woking Sea Rangers. FAMILY EVENT: "Fur & Feathers" Wildlife Fun Day
This annual event at Brickfields Country Park includes farm animals, Birds of Prey display, stalls, displays from local environment and wildlife groups, hot and cold refreshments, games, quizzes, tombola, cake stall and our own brand "Brickfields Park" jams, a very popular item. Coffee and tea from our refreshments are all "Fair Trade" products. Millers Ark Animals are a popular attraction drawing young and old alike to their interactive display of Ducks, Goats, Geese, Rabbits, Cattle, Chickens Pigs and other farmyard animals.
