‘Twixt Brook and River
Discover the green spaces in the heart of Rushmoor area on a guided walk organised by the Blackwater Valley Walkers’ Link on Wednesday 20th July. Starting at Blunden Hall in Cove the circular route passes along the Cove Brook and connects up with the River Blackwater, following some of the lesser used paths in the area. As well as numerous green spaces the walk will offer some close views of St Michael’s Abbey in Farnborough. Altogether the walk covers about six miles and includes some uneven ground and two stiles - so be prepared. Because some sections include walking alongside busy roads, dogs are NOT permitted for safety reasons.
If you would like to come along meet outside Blunden Hall, Blunden Road, Cove GU14 8QP for a 10am start. Please dress for the weather - wet weather clothing and suitable footwear are recommended. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. For more details ring 01252 331353.
This walk is organised by the BV Walkers’ Link, which aims to keep members informed about the walks and walking groups in the Blackwater Valley area whilst regularly providing advice and encouragement about walking. Membership costs £16pa and anyone interested in finding out more can follow this link >>>.
