Barnacle Goose. Grass Snake.

Little Owl

Seen near the car park at Moor Green Lakes by Alan Willis. Location map

Fri 7th

1 Wigeon (male). 1 Pochard (male) both seen on Colebrook Lake.

1 Shelduck (juvenile) At least
4 Green Sandpiper. 1 Common Sandpiper. 138 Lapwing. 40 Pied Wagtail all over the place.  All seen on new workings.

Wed 5th

Ringed Plover (juvenile passing bird). At least 5 Green Sandpiper.
1 Common Sandpiper. 1 Shelduck (juvenile).

Tues 4th

2 Dunlin, 7 Green Sandpiper, Snipe, Common Sandpiper,  Shelduck (juv) all seen on the new workings. 

Wigeon seen on Colebrook Lake.

Mon 3rd

Tawny Owl  calling from The Meadows roundabout and then from the area near the river 30 minutes later.

Little Stint. Black-tailed Godwit. Common Tern on new workings. Shelduck. 2 Barn Owl in box on new workings. 6 Green Sandpiper on new workings.

A Hornet’s nest in the Grove Lake hide numerous Tufted Duck, a single Barnacle Goose, 3 Egyptian Geese, Green Sandpiper, 20+ Lapwing

3 Pochard, 2 Teal seen on Colebrook Lake.
1 Shelduck (juvenile), at least 5 Green Sandpiper, 2 Sanderling seen on the new workings
