Sunday 10th

Water Pipit, Oystercatcher & Red Kite. 

Seen at Tice’s Meadow (Farnham Quarry). Sightings via Surrey Bird Club. Location map

Saturday 9th

Several Speckled Woods, Orange Tips male & Brimstone.

All seen in Rowhill Nature Reserve at Copse Avenue entrance between 13;00 and 15:00 by Christine Reeves. Location map

Saturday 9th

Numerous Orange Tips, male & female. Holly Blue. Large White. Green-veined White. 

All seen between 10:00 and 12:00 in Rowhill Nature Reserve at the Parkland Grove entrance by Christine Reeves. Location map

Friday 8th

2 Yellow Wagtails 

Seen at Tice’s Meadow (Farham Quarry). Sighting via Surrey Bird Club. Location map

Thursday 7th

Cuckoo

Seen at Ash Ranges. Sighting via Surrey Bird Club.

Wednesday 6th

Male Pied Flycatcher

Seen in the evening at Tice’s Meadow (Farnham Quarry. Sighting via Surrey Bird Club. Location map

Wednesday 6th

Avocet (apparently only the fourth occasion that sightings of this distinctive bird have been made in this location ever!). Pair of Mandarin (breeding pair?). Pair of Gadwall (breeding pair?). 2 Redshank. 2 Little Ringed Plover. 2 Lapwing. Single female Teal. Lots of Tufted Duck. Reed Bunting.
Also the first Orange Tips.

 Monday 4th

Pair of Buzzards circling low over the park (now seen frequently about this location - poss breeding pair?)

7 Black-tailed Godwits but flushed by Peregrine
