Alex originally joined the Blackwater Valley Countryside Partnership on a six-month contract in January 2009.
Initially his role was to provide project support to Sue Dent, although he has done a wide range of different tasks, everything from compiling site interpretation boards and site leaflets to contributing towards management plans. He’s also been involved with many of the practical tasks supporting the Tuesday volunteer group and aiding and abetting wherever possible.
Alex is probably the team member who has walked the path more often than anyone else in the past year as he’s been identifying problem areas and suggesting improvements as part of the path management plan.
His six-month contract was extended by six months to March 2010.
